Top 9 Ways to Fix Discord Notifications Not Working on Windows 11

1. Enable Discord Notifications

If you have disabled Discord notifications, you won’t get any alerts for new activities. Follow the steps below and enable notifications for Discord.

Step 1: Open Discord on the desktop.

Step 2: Click on User Settings at the bottom.

Step 3: Scroll to Notifications.

Step 4: Turn on desktop notifications.

From the same menu, you can enable the unread message badge to check unread messages right from the taskbar.

2. Enable Discord Notifications from Windows Settings

Did you disable Discord notifications from the Windows Settings menu? That will override Discord settings and turn off alerts.

Step 5: Select Add an app button and click on Discord from the list.

You will continue to receive new Discord notifications even when Focus assist is enabled on your PC.

4. Check Your Discord Status

Discord lets you change your account status for a personalized experience. Using DND, you can turn off notifications, Invisible will hide your online status and more. If you have selected DND status for your Discord account, you won’t receive any notifications. You need to change it using the steps below.

Step 1: Launch Discord and click on your account picture at the bottom left corner.

Step 2: Select Online.
