Your Xbox account carries multiple features to save multiplayer games, sync your game library, engage in community discussions, and more. Without an Xbox account and Game Pass (often known as Netflix of the gaming industry), you are better off not playing games at all on computers and Xbox consoles. Recently, many are complaining about not being able to sign into their Xbox account. Here are the ways to fix the issue.
At times, users are noticing authentication error code 80151103 when trying to sign in to Xbox account. If you are facing the same, use the tricks below and fix the issue once and for all.
1. Check Internet Connectivity
Let’s go through the basics first. If you are trying to sign in on an Xbox console, make sure it’s connected to a working Wi-Fi network at home.
Those using Xbox on PC can check the internet connectivity from the Settings app.
Step 1: Open the Windows Settings menu and select the Network & internet menu.
Step 2: Connect to Wi-Fi or even better, establish an Ethernet connection.
Open the Xbox app and try signing in with your account.
2. Turn off Two Factor Authentication
Normally, we don’t recommend turning off 2FA (two-factor authentication) for any web account. But it seems many have successfully bypassed the sign-in error in the Xbox account using this trick. Here’s how you can disable 2FA on your Microsoft account.
Step 1: Visit the Microsoft account page on the web.
Step 2: Go to the Security tab.
Step 3: Select Advanced security options.
Step 4: Turn off Two-step verification from the Additional security menu.
Try signing into your Xbox account again.
3. Check Xbox Status
If Xbox servers are having a hard time, you will continue to face issues with signing into your Xbox account. Microsoft offers a dedicated Xbox page with all the details on the status of Xbox features and functionality.
You can visit the Xbox status page and check the status for every Xbox service including the Account & profile, Friends & social activity, Multiplayer gaming, and more.
Expand the Account & profile section and see if the Sign-in service running fine or not. If others have reported the issue, you will see a yellow error mark. If there is a widespread outage, you will notice a red error symbol as shown in the screenshot.
4. Restart Xbox Console
Similar to how we reboot the PC to fix small glitches, you can do the same on the Xbox console. Go through the steps below to restart Xbox.
Step 1: Press the Xbox logo and open Guide.

Step 2: Wait for a couple of minutes and turn it back on.
Don’t worry though. You won’t lose any downloads or personal data.
6. Check Your Xbox Account Credentials
This is yet another basic thing to check off. You need to double-check your Microsoft account email address and password before signing into your Xbox account.
Open your preferred password manager (if you are using one) and check your Microsoft account details.

Xbox collects cache in the background to remember your search history and make overall dashboard navigation faster. Overamount of cache data can lead to sign-in issues on Xbox 360 or Xbox One. Here’s how you can clear the Xbox system cache.

Step 2: Select System Settings and click on Storage.
Step 3: Highlight a storage device and press Y (yes) on the controller.
